Hi, I'm Mekhi. I'm a multi-disciplinary artist and creative director based in Atlanta, Georgia.
My art practice explores the intersections of the tangible and the imagined by combining fashion imagery with colored pencil drawings of three-dimensional forms. I draw inspiration from mythical and religious themes, afro-futurist aesthetics, and an educational foundation in industrial design. Often, my intention is to visualize the liminal spaces where transitions, shifts, and boundaries are most keenly felt.
The process of blending colored pencils becomes meditative, a way of contemplating and visualizing the intangible. By doing this, I find a deep connection to the act of imagining by crafting new worlds that speak to the complexity and richness of human experience.
